Sunriver
If you’re looking for fun at a furrific community park, head to Sunriver’s namesake neighborhood! There, you’ll find Fort Rock Park, a pawsitively pawsome place to explore with your leashed dog! This pristine park has a huge grassy play field where you and your pooch can romp or work on training, plus mature trees where you and Fido can relax in the shade. The park also has picnic tables, a playground, tennis and basketball courts and horseshoe pits. Paulina Park is another woofderful nearby park that offers many of the same amenities. After you and your pooch work up an appetite, check out Sunriver Brewhouse where you can chow down on burgers, tacos, barbecue and more with your pup on the patio!

Southwest Bend
Travel just 14 miles from Sunriver to check out some of the pawsome parks Bend has to offer! The Southwest Bend neighborhood is packed with beautiful community green spaces that welcome leashed dogs! Wildflower Park is an especially woofderful place to visit with your pup. There’ s wide open grassy space for you and your pooch to romp, plus lots of trees that provide shade and things to sniff. This three-acre park also has a beautiful pavilion that’s perfect for family gatherings and a playground. For more puptacular parks nearby, check out Hollygrape Park, River Canyon Park, Renaissance Ridge Central Park and Pine Ridge Park.

Larsen
Want to go for a nature walk with your furry friend? Check out Bend’s Larsen neighborhood, about 14 miles from Sunriver. This neighborhood is a favorite among locals and leashed pups because of its High Desert Park. Located on the southern outskirts of town, the 33-acre parcel of undeveloped land has a natural landscape that includes lots of trees, shrubs and tall grasses. It’s a peaceful spot for a walk with your dog, especially at sunset and in the early morning! Keep an eye out for wildlife like red tail hawks, rabbits and deer along the way! Since this park is undeveloped, you’ll want to remember to bring your own drinking water and cleanup bags.

Bend – Old Farm District
Visit one of Bend’s quaintest neighborhoods in the Bend, about 14 miles from Sunriver! This area is home to two grrrreat parks where leashed dogs are welcome! First, check out Foxborough Park! At 1.4 acres, this park is made up mostly of grass that’s perfect for playtime! There's also a paved walking path that loops around the perimeter, plus a playground where kiddos can work off some energy too! Just a few blocks away, you and your four-legged friend will discover the 1.6-acre Sun Meadow Park! This quiet park also has lots of grass and a playground, plus a picnic shelter, a basketball court and seasonal restrooms.

Larkspur
Did somebody say dog park? If those two words get your pup’s tail wagging, head to Bend’s Larkspur neighborhood, about 15 miles from Sunriver! Ponderosa Park is woofderful in itself, but it also has a huge, fully fenced-in dog area with tons of shade and natural landscaping! This off-leash fun zone is big enough for people to stroll with their pups and get some exercise, too. There’s benches, drinking water for thirsty pups and cleanup baggies available. For more puptastic fun with your leashed pup, check out the rest of Ponderosa Park, where you’ll find a playground, picnic pavilion, playfields, restrooms and paved walking paths. Nearby, you and your dog can also visit Woodland Pond Park, Kiwanis Park, Larkspur Park and Gardenside Park.
