E Main St/ Ashland St
There’s tons of off-leash fun to be had in Ashland’s E Main St/ Ashland St neighborhood, about six miles from Talent. The neighborhood’s Ashland Dog Park has two full acres of fenced-in grassy area where Fido can run free and play. The park has drinking water for your pooch and a doggie waste cleanup station, too. For some leashed fun, hop on the Bear Creek Greenway that runs adjacent to the dog park. This 18.5-mile paved, multi-use trail meanders through Ashland and provides a woofderful exercise route. This neighborhood has tons of other fur-iendly parks and open spaces, including Ashland Ponds, Ashland Creek Park, Riverwalk Park, Hunter Park and Clay Street Park. There are doggie waste bag stations at these parks to make your visit even more convenient.36

N Main St/ Scenic Dr
For a pawsome hike near town, leash your pup and head to Hald/Strawberry Park in this Ashalnd neighborhood, about six miles from Talent. The park has tons of trails that vary in difficulty, but share one thing – incredible views! For a mild hike, head down the wide path from the parking lot near Grandview Dr. There are benches at some of the park’s scenic overlooks where you and your four-legged friend can take in the views of the city of Ashland and the mountains that line the Rogue River Valley. There’s lots of lush vegetation in Hald/Strawberry Park, making it a pawpular spot for wildlife, too!24

Ashland City Center
You and Fido are sure to experience some of Ashland’s fur-iendliest establishments in its City Center neighborhood, about six miles from Talent. A great way to see this dog-friendly neighborhood is the Calle Guanajuato – a brick sidewalk that meanders between Calle Guanajuato Park and tons of businesses that welcome leashed dogs. Calle Guanajuato Park is a woofderful spot with tons of vegetation and a walking path where you can work up an appetite with Fido. Adjacent to the park, you’ll find Louie’s Restaurant. Louie’s has a diverse menu and a woofderful shaded dog-friendly outdoor seating area overlooking Ashland Creek. Martino’s & Macaroni’s is another pawpular fur-iendly restaurant on the Calle Guanajuato walkway. The City Center also has unique overnight accommodations for pets and their people at the Ashland Springs Hotel. This historic hotel’s beautiful rooms reflect its vintage nature. There is a small fee for four-legged guests.12

Tolman Creek Rd/ Siskiyou Blvd
There are tons of furrific places to visit with your dog in Ashland’s Tolman Creek Rd/ Siskiyou Blvd neighborhood, about six miles from Talent. The Cottle Property is a favorite among locals for a natural open area perfect for leashed walks. The open space has nature trails, lots of mature trees and grass where you and your pup can explore. Nearby, you’ll also find Liberty Street Park and Glenwood Park, pawsome areas for picnics and short walks. Experience Ashland’s iconic Lithia Park in this neighborhood as well. Leashed dogs are only allowed in Lithia Park on the trail that runs east of Ashland Creek and ends at S Pioneer St. There are cleanup stations at both ends of this walkway to make your trip easier!
