“My goal is to keep your pets happy!”

I grew up loving dogs and learning how to care for them. I love helping friends and neighbors care for their dogs while they’re away. I have always been a dog owner, and I know how important it is to feel like your fur baby is being well cared for. I love to walk and to help a dog get the exercise they need. I live in Waxhaw, NC, close to Ballantyne, and I would love to meet you and your dog!

Hello, my name is Emily and I am beyond in LOVE with dogs. I rescued my 2 fur-babies in 2004 and loved every minute with them. They are my heart and soul. I volunteer at my local animal shelter with my dad and also make crafts to sell to donate all the proceeds to an animal shelter/rescue organization.I have dog-sat for many people and the longest time was for 3-weeks while the family was out of country. I lost my Brandi, boxer, in 2012 (10 years old) and my Snowflake, pitbull, (15 years old) less than 6-months ago. There is a big part of me missing and it is them. I am gone about 20 hours a day Monday - Thursday and it is not fair to adopt a new fur-baby, so joining WAGS is the next best thing!! I will treat your dog as my own and smother them with love and fun.

Dog Walking in Catawba

Catawba, South Carolina is Native American Country. The Indians fought the English for it until the early 1900s. The soil was once perfect for farmland, but then the red clay that lies under it become its downfall. It leads to the soil being washed away with each planting. Eventually, the English turned to the Native Americans and they began to trade so that they could thrive side by side. The Native American culture is still very strong in the area. You can see it in the architecture all through the city.

While you are here, you should visit Landsford Canal State Park. It is perfect for learning the history because it is the original canal system, and you can even take a canoe down this same system today. You will love how the park is perfectly set up to enjoy a picnic with the family. It is a great place to spend the day and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Just sixteen miles from Catawba is Fountain Park. It is worth the trip while you are visiting because it was designed by the students of the area. The fountains shoot up sixteen feet. They are beautifully designed and so perfectly beautiful. It is very much worth the quick drive.
