Kings Mountain State Park
If you and your pup love exploring nature, consider traveling to Kings Mountain State Park, which is about 15 miles north of York. There are several trails winding through the park, including one as short as two miles and one as long as 16 miles! Make sure you grab a trail map so you don’t get lost. Fido can get out and hike the trails with you, but he’ll need to be on a leash. The park prefers leashes shorter than six feet in length, and they also request you clean up after your dog. Remember to bring enough water for you and your dog. A day pass costs two dollars.
