Community of Lando
The community of Lando is mostly open land. True to form for many South Carolina neighborhoods, Lando is a simple place with a few churches, corner stores, and not much else except for open air that your dogs will just love. A great place for an afternoon stroll is Fishing Creek, where you can enjoy fresh air and fresh water. Many locals enjoy fishing here and bring their dogs along for good luck. Don’t forget to keep your pal on a leash at all times. You’ll also need to bring some drinking water for you both, as well as some doggie waste bags for those necessary cleanups.

Rossville
If you are looking for a peaceful neighborhood with great walking spaces, Rossville is just 5 minutes from Lando. With a family-friendly feel that welcomes dogs of all sizes, your pup will feel right at home in Rossville. If you get hungry, the neighborhood has many chain eateries with both indoor and outdoor seating so that your dog can join you for a bite to eat. Front Porch is your go-to home cooking restaurant where you can eat out on the lawn as if you are a guest in a 1950’s home! There are no official parks here, but the landscape could be considered one huge play area for you and your dog to bond.

Community of Edgemoor
Edgemoor is just a four-minute drive from Lando and is a charming place to spend your time. The neighborhood is simply built with a post office, gas station, and a church. If you and your dog are tired of the city life, Edgemoor will give you the change of pace you want. John’s Restaurant is a good local spot with bench seating out front for you and your dog to enjoy a quick meal made by friendly residents. Afterwards, you can work off some of those comfort-food calories by taking a stroll through the grassy streets. Don’t forget those doggie waste bags!

Heathwood
Just 20 minutes from Lando is a small and enchanting neighborhood called Heathwood. Nestled in the center of Rock Hill, this community offers a beautiful scene to enjoy while you and your dog get your exercise. The central location gives you easy access to many of Rock Hill’s dog-friendly restaurants. Noteworthy options include Michael’s Rock Hill Grille, where your dog will be barking while you rock out to their all-star menu. Another great eatery is Sister’s Fine American Cuisine, where you can sit with your dogs on the deck to enjoy your meal. If you need some refreshment, Grapevine Wine Shop and Bar welcomes customers and their leashed furry friends in their outdoor seating area. With so many options, make sure you bring your favorite leash!
Brattonsville Historic District
Driving about 25 minutes west of Lando will bring you to this timeless place. Brattonsville Historic District is famous for its historical preservation through its museums. While your dog may not want to spend all day inside of the historical centers, she will certainly enjoy a stroll through the nearby Draper Wildlife Management Area. Be sure that both of you stay on the marked trails, as this place is a popular spot for hunting and fishing for locals. But with plenty of spaces to explore, neither of you will mind. Be sure to bring drinking water and doggie waste bags, too! Nobody likes a litterbug.
