Springwood Lakes
Load up your car and drive south about ten miles to the neighborhood of Springwood Lakes. This quiet neighborhood rests on the border of Chester State Park, an expansive natural area featuring a 160-acre lake. You and Fido will be able to explore the pine forest or grab a picnic in the park. Go hiking along the two-mile nature trail for a little exercise. Bring along a boat and get out on the lake with your pup. Dogs are allowed in this facility provided they are not disruptive to the wildlife, you keep them restrained by a leash up to six feet long, and you clean up any waste.36

Brooklyn
The neighborhood of Brooklyn in Chester is about eight miles south of Lowrys. Bring your canine companion here to explore Wylie Park. This pawesome 48-acre park includes a paved, half mile trail that is ideal for walking or jogging with your furry friend. You and Fido can also explore the natural surface trail that winds through the wooded areas of this facility. Wander past the playground, putting course, and tennis courts with your special pal. Dogs are permitted in city parks provided that you keep them on a leash up to ten feet long, and that you pick up their messes.24

Rolling Hills Estates
Located just 6.5 miles south of Lowrys, the neighborhood of Rolling Hills Estates in Chester is a pupful place to bring your pooch. Head to the Chester Sports Complex on the old fairgrounds to stretch your legs with your special pal. This large green space has some ball fields and open spaces for you and your pup to enjoy together. Remember to keep your furry friend on a leash that’s no longer than ten feet and to clean up after him. Since this isn't a designated dog park, don't forget to bring all the necessary supplies, like drinking water, doggie waste bags, toys, and treats.12

Rock Hill
When you want to treat your pup to some off-leash time, head to Spencer Park in Rock Hill. This area includes a fenced dog park where fFdo can romp and play with other four-footed friends. There are two sections, one for dogs up to 30 pounds, and the other for dogs of all sizes. Water and waste stations are in both play areas. You are welcome to walk your pup in the grassy spaces in the rest of Spencer Park as long as you keep him on a 3-foot leash and pick up any waste. After you and your pooch get some exercise, head downtown to Flipside Restaurant for some southern comfort food. Dogs are allowed at the outdoor tables. Rock Hill is about 17 miles northeast of Lowrys.
