Ridgeway, South Carolina is a small town with an equally small population near the metro area of Columbia. You can get a dog-friendly dining experience here at Olde Town Hall Restaurant, which has some sidewalk tables that welcome dogs. Although you won’t find any vet clinics in town, there are several nearby in Winnsboro, Blythewood, and Columbia.
For dog-friendly fun near Ridgeway, Columbia and its surrounding areas are your best bet. The Earlewood neighborhood of Columbia is located on the northern end of the city and is where you’ll find the NOMA Bark Park. Best Dog Neighborhoods in Ridgeway
If your pooch is an outdoor enthusiast, then he will absolutely love the Wildewood neighborhood on the outskirts of Columbia, which is just over 24 miles from Ridgeway. This area is the home of the Sesquicentennial State Park in the Sandhills region of South Carolina. The gorgeous spot makes for a pawfect outdoor adventure hiking through trails, having a picnic lunch, and even enjoying the 2-acre, off-leash dog park located within the state park. The neighborhood also has plenty of paw-friendly eateries close by, like Hola Mexico, which has a cozy outdoor patio for you and a furry friend to dine together.
The Shandon neighborhood of Columbia is another dog-friendly spot you won’t want to miss. This area is just over 28 miles from Ridgeway and offers a small, well-shaded dog park – the Emily Douglas Dog Park – that’s fully fenced for your pup to play safely. Shandon also has several dog-friendly restaurants with various types of food for you and your canine friend to try out. Za’s is known for its specialty pizzas and has a covered outdoor area for you and your pup. You’ll find the Ravenwood neighborhood of Columbia about 22 miles away from Ridgeway. This neighborhood borders the Forest Lake and provides a lot of options for dog-friendly eating spots if you’re looking for a fun place to relax with your pup. Rosso is one of them, serving wood-fired pizzas and other Italian favorites at an outdoor patio that welcomes dogs. Try Tombo Grille for some yummy Southern favorites, like shrimp and grits and grilled meatloaf! Five Points in Columbia is a neighborhood that’s just over 25 miles from Ridgeway and right near the center of Columbia. Your dog will go mutts for the Pupcakes Pet Boutique and Bakery here! This pawtastic place sells all the goodies your dog needs, from clothing to toys, plus cooks up some homemade tasty dog treats! You’ll also find plenty of restaurants here that welcome canine friends, like The Gourmet Shop, which is a great spot for quick meals. You can even shop around for kitchen items while you’re here! Try Jake’s on Devine for meals that are made with organic meats and cheeses and enjoy your meal on the outdoor patio.
The Arsenal Hill neighborhood of Columbia is about 25.5 miles from Ridgeway. Here, you and your dog can visit the Mast General Store, a favorite of tourists and locals. This incredible shop has everything from clothing and outdoor gear to pet supplies and your furry friend can explore with you (she may even get a treat!). Being right in the heart of Columbia, Arsenal Hill also has a lot of restaurant options to satisfy your palate. Want something quick and tasty for lunch?
