Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Lugoff
Goodale State Park
Goodale State Park
Goodale State Park is located in Camden, which is about 10 minutes from Lugoff. If your dog likes going for walks and exploring nature, this is the perfect place to take them! The park has a trail that's nearly two miles long, so it's great for both beginner and experienced hikers. Trail signs mark the path for you. Fido is required to be on a leash, which is really for his own safety. There's a lot of wildlife in the park, including ducks and snakes; the park's website even boasts there might be an alligator in the lake, which is over 100 acres!
Sesquicentennial State Park
Sesquicentennial State Park
If your pup is particularly energetic, the two of you might enjoy embarking on an adventure at Sesquicentennial State Park. It's about 30 minutes from Lugoff. Start your adventure with a hike on one of the three trails in the park. The lengths and intensity vary, and a leash is required for your pooch. If your dog still isn't tired, take him to the state park's bark park for some off-leash exercise. You can take a breather on one of the benches while your dog has fun getting to know some furry new friends. A day or annual pass is required.
Earlewood
Earlewood
If you're looking for somewhere new to take your pup, make sure to check out NOMA Bark Park! This pupular dog park already has toys for your pup to play with, including rope toys and tennis balls. When it's hot enough, the park's staff sets out kiddie pools so that your dog can make a splash. Water is provided, as are waste baggies, so you won't need to bring any from home. You will need a pass to use this park, but an annual pass doesn't cost much. Your dog must also be up-to-date on vaccinations for their safety and the safety of other dogs.
Lee State Park
Lee State Park
Lugoff is about 30 minutes from Lee State Park, located in Bishopville. The park has two short hiking trails in it, and Fido can join you on both of them! A leash is required on the trails. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you and your pup are also able to camp out in the park! Whether you bring along a tent or a camper, take a break from the "real world" to enjoy the best that nature has to offer. Make sure you bring along plenty of water and waste bags, as no one wants to step in anything left behind!
Saluda Shoals
Saluda Shoals
Just 30 miles from Lugoff, you and Fido can go have a furrific time together at Saluda Shoals Barking Lot! This two-acre bark park gives your pup plenty of room to enjoy some off-leash fun. During the summer, the park puts out bone-shaped kiddie pools for your dog to splash around in. There's seating for dog moms and dads, so you can sit back and relax while Fido runs around and plays with their new pals. Drinking water is provided by the park, but you'll want to bring along your own materials for clean-up. This park does require a pass.
