Yankton City Center
For a fun trip to the park with your pooch, head to the pawsome Riverside Park when you are in Yankton! This 32 acre green spot in town has lots of space for your pup to run and roam, as well as having puptastic amenities you can use. This includes picnic shelters, a playground structure, softball field and the oppawtunity to access the fishing pier. If you are visiting Yankton and need a place to stay with your pooch, check in to the Travelodge. Here you are welcome to bring two pups of any size to stay, and you only have to pay a small additional fee per night.

Mount Marty College/ Broadway Ave
Every pup loves a trip to the park, which means you have got to visit the City of Yankton Fantle Memorial Park in town! Here you and your canine can have a ball out on the open grass while playing fetch. There are 32 acres of land to explore that feature some sniff-tastic trails for some exercise. Other amenities include a disc golf course, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and softball fields that you can enjoy, and your pup can run on when games are not in session. Don’t forget to check out the memorial to Veterans that you will find in the center!

A pawsome place for a weekend in the sun has got to be the Chief White Crane Recreation Area! Here you can explore the outdoors with your pooch and take the oppawtunity to bird watch out on the sniff-tastic trails. There are many bald eagles spotted here! Other activities include boating and playing basketball. There are also campsites where you and your canine can camp under the stars. Just be sure that your furry friend stays on leash. You can also stay at the Cottonwood Campground nearby, which features electrical hook-ups. Furry friends are welcome to join you, as long as they remain on leash. Puptastic amenities here include shower facilities, a playground, picnic shelter and fishing.

There is also the oppawtunity to go hunting here, as well as fishing. There are white tailed deer, squirrels and wild turkeys spotted at Tatanka State Wildlife Management Area.
