When you are in Worthington, don’t forget to visit Centennial Park! This place has lots of green grass for your pooch to roll and roam, as well as puptastic amenities that you can use during the day. This includes playground equipment, picnic tables, basketball court and grills. In addition, you can wander around the walking path for some exercise and venture over the foot bridge across Whiskey Ditch. If you are visiting Worthington and need a dog friendly place to stay for the night, check into the pawsome Super 8 Motel. Here you are welcome to bring two pups to stay and you will only have to pay a small additional fee per night.
For some delicious food when you are in Worthington, head to the Ground Round Grill & Bar! This is a pawsome dog friendly place in town where you can sit back and enjoy some burgers, chicken, steak, sandwiches and seafood. Of course, there are outdoor tables where your furry friend can join you while you eat. For comfortable accommodation, stay at the puptastic Days Inn. Here you are welcome to bring two canines of any size for only a small additional fee per night. There is also the Americinn, which offers dog friendly rooms. You can stay with two pooches of any size and only have to pay a small additional fee for your pups.
For a run around with your furry friend, don’t miss out on the fun over at South East Side Park in Worthington! Here there is plenty of open green grass for your pooch to play fetch or practice training, as well as benches where you can sit and watch your pup. There are also picnic facilities here and playground equipment for the kids to enjoy. You can also head to Orchard Knoll Park, which is a pawsome neighborhood park you can hang out at when it is sunny. There is grass for your canine, as well as a tennis court and playground for the kids.
For an adventure with your pup, jump in the car and head next door to the puptown of Ellsworth! Here you will find the puptastic Lake Ocheda Game Refuge where you can go exploring with your furry friend. There are sniff-trails you can follow around Lake Ocheda for some exercise and stretch your legs, as well as burn some excitable energy. There is also a lot of open space where you can enjoy some playtime with your beloved companion and throw his favorite ball. Since there aren’t any facilities out at the Lake Ocheda Game Refuge, be sure to bring some treats and water for your canine!
If you and your pooch love to get outdoors and enjoy some exercise, head over the state line into Iowa! The puptown of Sibley is not far from Worthington, and you can go exploring the pawsome Ed Winkel Memorial Trail. This is a 4.7 mile sniff-tastic rail trail that ventures through farmland and puptastic little towns along the old Chicago and Northwestern railroad line. You and your furry friend can stretch your legs while enjoying being out in nature! Since bikes can use the Ed Winkel Memorial Trail, it may be best to keep your beloved companion on leash here.
