West 8th Avenue
West 8th Avenue is located not far from the city center, within walking distance from The Mitchell Corn Palace and Mitchell Activity Center to the north. This nice neighborhood has a few eateries and a public school nearby, as well as an amazing place dedicated to dogs of all sizes and tempers! Mitchell Dog Park is a part of Caldwell Park and is located on the south end of the larger park. The dog park features more than 3 acres of grassy area to romp and play. There are two separate spots for small and large breeds, as well as drinking fountains. Both areas have shady trees and benches for tired owners or lazy pups preferring watch others play.

South Huron
The southern part of Huron is a remote area with a relaxing atmosphere and soothing environment. It is a perfect spot to enjoy the views of Stony Run Lake and a nice new place to bring Fido. Provided by Beadle County Humane Society, Reilly Dog Park is a new local attraction for every four-legged visitor. The park is the only off-leash facility in the area and features a medium sized, grassy area with a tall fence, a simple obstacle course, and agility equipment to help your mutt stay in a good shape. You will also find some benches and picnic tables around, but you'll have to bring water and snacks with you.

North End East
The North End East neighborhood, set on the east bank of Big Sioux, is a dog-friendly place with a number of outdoor activities for your lovely mutt. The significant area of the park is occupied by Falls Park, centered in the heart of the neighborhood. This is a beautiful and unique place to take your pup for a nice long stroll along the never-ending humming waterfalls and convenient walkways. If a long trip made your mutt hungry and sad, time to take some action! Sate your appetites at Sioux Falls Overlook Café. This diner welcomes leashed pooches at any of the ten dog-friendly, outdoor tables, and offers breathtaking views paired with the delicious menu!

North Cliff Avenue
North Cliff Avenue is divided into two parts by the Big Sioux River. The northern part is significantly remote from the city center and does not have many facilities to make it an attractive spot for visitors, but it is a great place to bring Fido! Lien Park, located close to the main road, offers an off-leash, open area for pooches to play and have a blast on a sunny day. This is a great park with a few dogs and owners, and once you are here, the whole terrain will belong to your lovely pooch to play catch or exercise freely! Be prepared: bring some toys, and water with you.

South Cliff Avenue
South Cliff Avenue, located in the southeastern part of the city, stretches between two parks: Tuthill Park and Spenser Park. The latter is local and visitor favorite, offering a number of amenities for furry friends. The park has two special fenced spots dedicated entirely for four-legged visitors. Featuring both on-leash and off-leash areas for small and large pooches, the park will make your mutt bark in excitement while he plays and wrestles with his new canine friends. And, if there is nobody around, you can sniff and explore the area of the playground and soccer fields, as long as you keep your pal on-leash.
