Oak Ridge is the "Secret City" of the south you might not have heard of, but won't forget after a visit with Fido. Born in 1942 as part of the Manhattan Project, Oak Ridge has a rich history that continues to tell its tales even today through its wooftacular citizens, activities, museums, heritage, and the Secret City Festival that's held every June. Five friendly vets are located in Oak Ridge and are happy to schedule Fido in for a visit. 


Start off your adventure in Oak Ridge with a visit to the city's beautiful parks. Head east towards the Clinch River to join the Melton Lake Greenway. This tranquil 5.7 mile greenway features a paved waterfront trail offering folks to come enjoy a day of walking, running, cycling and roller skating alongside their furry friends. Follow the scenic greenway all the way south to the pawpular Haw Ridge Park in Oak Ridge. 

The Haw Ridge Park offers explorers scenic water and land activities to enjoy with Fido. Take a stroll through the park's near 30 miles of trails that welcomes hikers, mountain bikers, and runners. Flora and fauna is abundant, so make sure to keep your pal on a leash.
