Hi! My name is Jamie. I am a mother of three beautiful girls ages 14, 13, 7 and have been a dog owner most of my life. I was with my previous employer for 19 years and left them after I moved my family from Utah to Georgia. I am an animal lover and a current pet parent myself. I know how important it is to find the right person to care for our "fur babies". I would love to be the one to care for your four-legged child when you can't be there.

“Dog mama wanting to help out other dog parents”
I absolutely love dogs and all animals. I have a Dachshund and a Belgian Malinois. I want to be able to help other dog parents when I can because I know help is hard to find.

Clearfield is a midsized town in Davis County that borders the Hill Air Force Base. Since it sits between the front of the Wasatch mountain range and the Great Salt Lake, pups living in this area are lucky to be near miles of outdoor recreation.
Although Clearfield is only eight square miles, there are 17 parks within the city's boundaries. Next time your pooch is ready for some exercise, grab a leash and head over to Fox Hollow Park. Follow the paved walking path and let her expend some energy. Bernard F. Fisher Park is another pupperific option. A playground, soccer field, and walking path make this a great spot for an afternoon walk.
Canine health is a top priority for folks living in
Clearfield. Fur-tunately, there are three well established veterinary clinics available. Clearfield Veterinary Clinic
keeps dogs feeling their best through holistic wellness care, general surgeries
and dental services. Animal Care
Veterinary Hospital has your pup’s wellbeing in mind. With a host of
doctors on hand, they are ready for whatever may come through their door. Quail
Pointe Veterinary Hospital also offers a comprehensive list of services all aimed at
keeping your fur baby in tip top shape.
Next time your four legged friend needs a walk, head over to the Clearfield Canal Trail which can be accessed from the Airlane Park neighborhood. This pawsome trail runs parallel to the Davis Weber Canal and stretches three miles in length. Your pup will love movin’ and groovin’ her four legs down this asphalt path. Bicentennial Park is also nearby. For even more exercise, pop over to this park and take some laps around the walking path. Watch your pal’s tail wag as she enjoys the fresh air and sunshine. Be sure to bring enough water to keep her hydrated.
Clearfield North has a couple pupperific places to take your canine companion. If you have an active pup, he’ll fit right in at Steed Park, a favorite among local athletes. This 23 acre park has multiple ball fields, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and picnic pavilions. In addition, there are two jogging and walking paths, both under a mile. If he needs more mileage, hop on the Denver and Rio Grande Western Rail Trail. This trail stretches across three cities and runs 24 miles, so you’ll have plenty of room to tucker out your pup.
Since parks and dogs go hand in hand, your furry BFF will wag his tail with delight when you take him to the Jesse D. Barlow Park. Located in the South Main neighborhood, this park spans 17 acres and has plenty of green space for your pup to enjoy. After sniffing around the grassy fields, she can trot down the paved walking path. It clocks in at about a half mile, so if she’s got a lot of energy, you may need to take a few laps. For a change of scenery, head over to the nearby Island View Park. Bring a snack and some water and take a break before walking around this park’s path.
If Clearfield is just a stop on your itinerary, make a reservation at the local Days Inn. For just a small fee, your furry traveling companion is welcome to stay at this conveniently located hotel. She’ll drift off to dreamland in a comfy room and rest up for the next day of fun. If she needs an evening walk before settling in for the night, head over to Kiwanis Park. Let her sniff her way around the grassy field; she’ll love discovering all the new smells. Take a few laps around the park’s perimeter before heading back to the hotel.
If you have a mountain loving dog, head over to the Adams Canyon Trail. It’s located in Layton and is just a 10 mile drive from Clearfield. This pup-ular trail is 3.5 miles and takes you through some beautiful Wasatch Mountain scenery. It follows the North Fork of Holmes Creek and includes two crossings, one on a bridge and the other on rocks. If your pup gets a little too hot, he can cool his paws off in this refreshing creek. The trail ends at a stunning 40 foot waterfall. Hang out for a while and feel the spray from the falls before making your way back down the trail. Sounds pawsitively amazing!
