Salt Lake City is about an hour drive from Whites Crossing. Memory Grove Off Leash Area at Freedom Trail is well worth that trip. Visiting this serene park is like taking a trip into pure nature. There is so much to do and see that you will want to come back often and explore it all. This is the pawfect place for dogs that love to swim. There are creeks and places to splash and play. Fido cannot swim in the lake, but he has plenty of other options. Be sure to bring a towel with you, because there’s no way Fido will stay dry here!36

Lindsey Gardens
Lindsey Gardens has very barkingly good dog park. It is just the right area to play in that you would want to drive an hour to visit it. There are no fences, but Fido is welcome to get off his leash and go for a run. This grassy hill is very pretty and just the right place to run and play. There are plenty of shade trees for you to relax under and enjoy a good book while Fido plays. There isn’t a lot of foot traffic in the off-leash area, which makes it one of the most relaxing places in the park for Fido to exercise. You and your dog will love it!24

Woodridge Terrace
Parley's Nature Reserve isn’t a dog park, but it is definitely worth the hour drive to explore. You and your dog will love the way that the trail winds its way through the area. There are lots of creeks and ponds to walk around or even splash in. Fido can bark at the ducks while you feed them or just observe them quietly. This park features an off leash area where Fido can romp and play while you enjoy the peace and serenity of the natural setting. Keep in mind that you will need to make sure that your dog knows voice commands because it is a wide open space.12

Capitol Hill
If you are looking for a great place to eat dinner with your dog, then you should take a one-hour trip to Em’s Restaurant. They serve the classic American favorites. You will have a difficult time not finding something that you will love on their menu. You can join your dog at a patio table. These tables often fill up fast, so make sure to call ahead to get a table. The patio tables are just pawfect for catching the sunset in the evenings. It is definitely the place to eat after enjoying a day at the park.
