Woodridge Terrace
Woodridge Terrace is a community that’s included within the census information of the census-designated Millcreek, Utah. The area sits east of Salt Lake City and has a few dog-friendly hotels to stay in if you’re passing through. You can also take your dog to Mill Creek Canyon, which allows dogs with a few rules in place: Even-numbered days means dogs must be leashed, but they can go off-leash in special areas on odd-numbered days to explore trails, cliffs, creeks, and more. Woodridge Terrace also has a PetSmart location, so anything you need for your beloved pooch is at your fingertips.

Canyon Rim
Canyon Rim in Millcreek, UT, is about 2.5 miles away from Woodridge Terrace. This area is the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful landscape that Millcreek has to offer at Parley’s Nature Reserve. Leashed dogs are allowed throughout the preserve, and there are a few designated areas to let him run off his leash. The nearby Tanner Park is about as close as you can get to a dog park without officially being named one. This park has tons of trails for you and your leashed dog to hike, and a few areas allow you to take your pup off his leash to splash in the water and enjoy all the sights the beautiful park has to offer.

Sugar House
A 10-minute drive from Woodridge Terrace will take you to Sugar House in Salt Lake City, UT. This neighborhood sits southeast of the center of the city and offers a good mix of urban living and rural dwelling. At Sugarhouse Park, your leashed dog is welcome to join you to splash in the creek or walk the paths. There are also a few dog-friendly restaurants close by if you and Rover get some growling bellies. Chipotle Mexican Grill has some outside seating where dog owners can enjoy a bite with their pups – and there are even warmers on the outside patio to keep all your paws toasty!

East Central Salt Lake City is about 11 miles from Woodridge Terrace. The area sits just outside the heart of Salt Lake City and offers some great opportunities for dogs and their owners. Herman Franks Park has an off-leash, fenced-in dog park located within the park. The pup-ular spot often has plenty of furry friends for your dog to play with! You can also visit Liberty Park with your leashed pup. This park doesn’t have a designated dog area, but you’re welcome to show him around the playgrounds, sporting fields, and more, as you enjoy a day outdoors. Coffee Garden is a good place for a sweet treat or sandwich and offers dog-friendly outdoor seating.

White City
White City is a census-designated place within the town of Sandy, UT and is about 13 miles southwest of Woodridge Terrace. Here, you can take your furry pal to Sandy Dog Park, a pawsome, fenced-in area with walking trails, a water fountain for dogs and their owners, benches, and more. For more outdoor adventures, head to Dimple Dell Nature Park, which has plenty of walking trails, some water spots, and plenty of opportunities for play and exercise. Keep your dog leashed and clean up after him so other doggies can enjoy, too! White City is also home to Utah Critter Litter, a clean-up service that will keep your lawn free of dog waste all year.
