Patrick is a godsend! He is such a great buddy for little boo that I d be confident to ask him to assist me in his puppy training even after just the first walk together. There are three separate areas where Fido can socialize with other pups his own size, and the water fountain is perfect to make sure your pooch stays hydrated. Whitaker Estates

Vista Park in Whitaker Estates is a great area to spend time with your pup. This park features several ball fields with wide open spaces where your pooch can chase a ball or frisbee. You can walk laps with Fido and then take a break and watch the kids on the playground. There are restrooms available to refill your water bottles, and shaded benches provide the perfect spot to chat with friends and their canine companions. Afterwards, dinner at Café Rio Mexican Grill is an excellent way to end the day. The dog-friendly outdoor seating allows you and the family a relaxing dinner together with Fido.

Murray Oaks

Just 8 minutes south of Taylorsville in the town of Murray, Willow Pond Park offers a variety of activities for two and four-legged children. Walking around the fishing pond gives Fido a chance for a snifftastic stroll, and the fishing pier is great for the kids. Your pup will also enjoy relaxing on one of the shaded benches or the gazebo and watching the kids on the playground. On your way home, stop by Great Harvest Bread and pick up some baked goods, or sit at one of the pooch-friendly tables and enjoy a cookie or hot Cinnamon Roll. Riverfront

The Jordan River Parkway Trail covers nearly 50 miles and travels through urban areas, parks, and riversides. You can access the trail from exit 279 off I-5 West around Main Street, and hike through the wooded areas to the next trailhead about 2 miles away. Most of the trailheads offer restrooms and water fountains where you can refill your pup’s water bottles and rest. Whether you travel north or south along the trail, you will pass through parks and view some amazing scenery. If you need a place to spend the night with your pup, Baymont Inn and Suites is situated nearby and allows pups for an additional fee.

Englewood Heights

Southridge Park is located just 8 minutes from Taylorsville in Kearns, and features almost 40-acres of space to walk your pup and spend time with the family. There are several ball fields providing open spaces to play when games are not in session. You can walk laps around the walkways and give your pup some exercise, then relax on a bench and watch the kids run around the playground. Restrooms are available where you can refill your water bottles at the fountain. The park is popular, and you will be sure to see neighbors and their furry family members hanging out enjoying warm sunny days.
