Hi there! I grew up on a farm with every animal you could think of, including 5 dogs! My mom ran a pet-sitting business out of our home for 30+ years and is now a retired vet-tech. I have provided assistance with her business ever since I was around 10 years old and I am very knowledgeable when it comes to health/medical attention. I am capable of handling a mad house of animals and enjoy the companionship of furry friends! I absolutely love being outdoors, exploring and am super active.

I have been a dog owner and lover since I was a small boy (I am now in my 60s). In addition to owning dogs, I have also been caring for friends dogs for many years, I have always been their go to when they need a sitter. I have always trained my own dogs and have even had others ask me to help them with their dog training. does your dog pull on the leash when walking? I can help you correct that.

Hi! My name is Sarah, I'm 27 years old, and I love all types of animals, but especially dogs. My very best friend is my terrier/pit mix, Honey Girl, who I adopted as a puppy in Hawaii. She is my #1 priority, I have her well trained, and we love to exercise! I also grew up with a shiba inu, whom I also helped train, walk & care for. I am a very responsible pet owner, and I always put the well-being of the animal first. I would love to meet your pooch & take him or her on a long or short walk!

“I love putting a smile on a dogs face!”
I love dogs! I started walking for Wag 6 years ago after it’s been an amazing experience! Dogs are easy to please, excited the minute you walk in the door and are pretty much up for any adventure from walking around the block to fast walking/running on a trail. As for the shy dogs I find meeting them at eye level usually brings a wag and enough trust to join me on a walk. II am very flexible with time which makes last minute walks a breeze! I look forward to becoming fast friends with ur dog!

Heber City is a small town in Wasatch County. Nestled in a valley, this beautiful community is surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains. Although the population has increased over the past decade, it remains a farming community with plenty of open space. The lucky dogs living in Heber enjoy abundant access to outdoor recreation. They also benefit from two top notch veterinary clinics in town.
If Heber City is just a stop on your itinerary, you and your furry traveling companion can bunk at one of the pet friendly hotels in town. Make a reservation at the Swiss Alps Inn. For a small fee, dogs of any size can rest here for the night. The Holiday Inn Express Heber City is another pawsome option. This hotel not only gives your pup a cozy place to snooze, but it also has amazing views of the nearby mountains.
Dining out with your pooch is easy in this town. Head over to the Wasatch Back Grill and Deli for a juicy burger and some homestyle fries. Your pal can join you on the porch and will even get a drink of water. Heber City Café is another local favorite. Chow down on some ribs with your pup at your side. Don’t be surprised if he starts to drool!
Muirfield Park is the only park in Heber City that welcomes furry family members, and your pup will have a blast at this 15 acre park. Clip on her leash and head over for some doggy cardio. As you make your way around the paved walking path, she can soak in the sunshine and breathe in some fresh air. This area is also home to the Heber City Dog Park. If your pooch prefers off leash play, hop over to this fenced in area and let her run wild. Not only will she have plenty of room to roam, she’ll also enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
If your pooch loves hiking, Dutch Canyon is the place to be. This canyon is located in Midway, just 10 minutes from Heber City. It is also home to the Dutch Hollow Trail system. With over a dozen trails to choose from, you and your four legged hiking buddy will have plenty to explore. Most of the trails are only around a mile. Start with the Heber Valley Overlook. This short trail provides puptastic views of the Provo River, Heber Valley, and Wasatch Mountains. Keep in mind the trails are multiuse, so you may see mountain bikers or horseback riders.
Get a real taste of Utah’s beauty with a trip to the Wasatch Mountain State Park. This gorgeous park is located along the west side of the Heber Valley. It can be accessed through Midway, a 10 minute drive from Heber City. Lace up your hiking boots, leash up your pup, and head over for some adventure. While there are dozens of trails to choose from, Huber Grove is a great starting point. It’s an easy trail that meanders through a grove of aspen trees. The Spring Pond Loop takes you deeper into the mountains. Your pup will enjoy the open meadows and pond that fills up with melted spring run off.
This neighborhood is home to Valais Park in Midway. Only 10 minutes from Heber City, this park is a great option if you’re looking for something new. Clip on your pup’s leash and walk around the paved trail to get his heart rate pumping. After a good warm up, head over to the off leash area and let him run free. Located inside Valais Park, this fenced in space give your pal the chance to mix it up with new friends. He’ll have the time of his life as he darts and dashes around the open field. Water is available in the main park, so bring a bowl and give your dog a refreshing drink.
Treat your pooch to a walk in the Midway City Park. Located in the heart of Midway, this park is a quick five minute drive from Heber City. Leash up your pup and take a couple laps around the paved walking trail. Watch your pooch’s tail wag while he struts his stuff. After his walk, let him sniff his way around the lawn area or rest his paws under a large shade tree. Before heading home, stop by Café Galleria for a bite to eat. Fill up on gourmet pizza or homemade meatballs. Dogs are welcome to eat with their parents at one of the outdoor tables.
