Less than an hour south of Salt Lake City, Mapleton is a small town where both pups and their parents can enjoy outdoor activities. Near the center of the city, Mapleton City Park is a great destination to walk Fido on the paved walkways where you can stroll and admire the well-kept gardens. The large playground is perfect for kids, and there are tennis courts and baseball fields where older children can run off some energy. Clean bathrooms, trash cans, and water fountains make the park fun for everyone.

If you are looking for a great place to spend time in nature or hike, head over to the Whiting Campground. The campground is surrounded by maple and cottonwood trees where your pooch can have a snifftastic time. There are both RV and tent sites, and your pup will need to stay on a leash when walking around the area. There are restrooms, grills, and picnic tables available, and you can explore the canyon from the trailhead located in the campground.

While your pooch plays, relax on one of the benches and chat with friends, but be sure to bring your own water bottles as there are no fountains in the park.
