Come to Monkee Joe's to satisfy your canine's sweet tooth!

Jefferson Villas

When in Forest, you and your pup will not want to miss out on a trip to the Jefferson Villas neighborhood for one main reason: the Apocalypse Ale Works Brewery! Come and sample up to ten pawsome craft beers made in-house. Enjoy a sampler or a local specialty with Fido outside at Apocalypse Ale's spacious pup-friendly backyard. This local gem is pawpularly known for being the very first brewery to come to Forest since Thomas Jefferson himself first brewed at his private estate of Poplar Forest during the 1800's. A'paw'calyspe Ale is both family and dog-friendly, so bring everyone for a barkin' good time!

Wyndhurst

For more fun activities with Fido, head over to the Wyndhurst neighborhood on the outskirts of Lynchburg, just east of Forest. This lively neighborhood offers two pup-friendly places to drink and dine. Kickstart your morning with a visit to The Muse Coffee Company to enjoy a breakfast of champions served with a piping hot cup of Joe or one of their special house creations. Breakfast is served all day, or come in for lunch to enjoy a variety of wraps, sandwiches and hummus'. Don't fill up all at Muse's though, 'cause just next door is Millie's Living Cafe, where you and Fido can recharge with specially crafted healthy and nutritious dishes. Smoothie bowls, vegan wraps, and even wheat-free sandwiches are up for tasting at Millie's!

Whetstone Hills

If you find yourself slightly southeast of Forest, make sure to stop by the Whetstone Hills neighborhood in Lynchburg to find a delicious pup-friendly eatery and nearby park. For breakfast or lunch, head to the local Blue Ridge Bagels to enjoy homemade sandwiches and the house's special New York-style bagels (gluten free bagels available, too!) The Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndam Lynchburg and the Baymont Inn & Suites Lynchburg are also great pawptions and are just a paw away.
