You will have to keep your pooch on their leash until you reach Madison Community Canine Area, a wonderful dog park with an enclosed area and benches. The park also offers several playgrounds and multi-purpose fields, as well as short walking trails for exercises and strolls, but no drinking water.

Located just east of Virginia Square in downtown Arlington, Lyon Village is a central neighborhood with a variety of activities. Schools, shopping spots, and public parks serve the densely populated residential area, as well as James Hunter Dog Park. This is a roomy, green oasis for pups and their parents. Madison Manor is an affluent neighborhood of Arlington. Madison Manor Park outlines the northern border of the area. This park offers a nice and relaxing walk on Washington and Old Dominion Trail. The trail parallels Four Mile Run and leads to Benjamin Banneker Park. This is a no-frills park with walking trails, a playground, and a wonderful enclosure for furry babies to play and run off-leash. The doggie area is tucked into the southeastern corner of the park and features a separate parking lot and a separate section for small pooches. Both areas are covered in grass and provide seating and shade, but no water fountains.
