Stanley

Stanley is a quiet area with some trailer homes, houses, an elementary school, and a few businesses. There are some country roads here where you and Spot can get some exercise. To spend time in the park with your furry pal, head to Ed Good Memorial Park on East Main Street. This pawesome facility includes open space, a trail, a playground, and picnic facilities. Enjoy a walk or jog with your canine companion, then share an outdoor meal here. Dogs can join you if they're on a leash and under your control. Make sure that you clean up your pup's waste.

Marksville

Just east of town, you'll find the small community of Marksville. This rural area includes private residences, farms, and a vineyard. Drop by the tasting room at Wisteria Farm and Vineyard to enjoy some samples of their offerings. If you're looking for a pawesome place to take your pooch for some fresh air, head to Hawksbill Recreational Park located on Pool Drive. You and your four-footed friend will be able to go hiking, have a picnic, or play fetch in the fields of this 28-acre property. You can bring dogs here, provided that you keep them on a leash and pick up after them.

Fairview

Fairview is a neighborhood in eastern Luray that includes private residences, farms, and a few churches. This area has some blocks where you and Fido can get your daily exercise. When you want to get out and explore nature with your furry friend, head about three miles southeast to Lake Arrowhead Park. You'll find a 34 acre lake, about two miles of trails, and picnic facilities here. Go hiking through the woods or bring a boat and launch on the water with your special pal. Dogs need to be on a leash and under your control. Remember to clean up any droppings.

Woodland Park

The residential development of Woodland Park is located on the north side of Luray. There are some peaceful lanes here where you can go for a stroll with your pooch. A furrific spot to get fresh air and exercise in this area is the Luray Hawksbill Greenway. This paved pathway stretches for about 2 miles along Hawksbill Creek. Walk by the water as you pass through downtown. Take a break at the comfort stations and benches along the way. You can also bring a pole and fish for trout in the stocked creek. Keep your dog on a leash and pick up his waste.

South Luray

The South Luray neighborhood includes an apartment complex, single-family homes, and a commercial downtown area. Take time to browse the Warehouse Art Gallery in town. For a chance to get some exercise and fresh air with your fur baby, head to Ralph H. Dean Recreation Park. You'll find athletic fields, picnic facilities, a walking trail, and a frisbee golf course in this 58-acre property. Take a lap or two on the fitness trail and share a snack with your canine pal. You can bring your dog here as long as you keep him on a leash and under your control.
