Eggsbornsville Road
Dotted with small lakes and streams, the Eggsbornsville Rd neighborhood offers wide open spaces to walk your dog. When planning your weekend with the family and pup, head over to Mountain Run Park which features a 75-acre lake and some of the best fishing in Northern Virginia. The park also boasts the pupular off-leash Culpeper Dog Park, a perfect place to allow your pooch to run and socialize with other dogs. Although there is not a separate area for small pups here, thre are benches for relaxing. Remember to clean up after your pup, and bring water bottles for refreshment as there may not be any available.

Lakeview of Culpeper
Gardening and walking dogs are key features of the Lakeview of Culpeper neighborhood. Pooch loving families in the area are often found at Yowell Park strolling along the one-mile walking trails or traipsing through the more adventurous nature trail. The park is filled with historical markers, and kids can enjoy the play area while Fido frolics in the grass. Kestner Wayside Park is another great destination to meet up with friends and their furry pals. Picnic areas and benches shaded by trees offers pups and their owners a place to relax. After a fun afternoon you, can head over to Thyme Market for a snack or wood oven pizza and pups are welcome at the outdoor tables.

Pups of all sizes love the rural Stevensburg Road neighborhood where wide open spaces and large yards are perfect for dog lovers. When Fido needs some extra exercise, walk over to Lenn Park and enjoy the 85 acres of land with a bubbling mountain creek. While walking your pup, you can admire the views of rolling hills and farmland in the distance. Picnic areas and a playground will keep the children busy while your pup chases a ball or spends time sniffing the flowers. Families also meet at the park to fly radio controlled air planes in the specially designed field, so make sure to clean up after Fido and dispose of waste in provided containers.

The park covers over 200,000 acres where wild animals are protected and recreation is expected. Visitors to the area can also experience unique pet friendly accommodations at Old Rag Mountain Yurt. This Airbnb rental will sleep up to four people, and your pup for an extra fee.
