The average cost of insurance for cats and dogs through Figo is between $20 and $30 per month. Figo is one of the only companies that charges less for dog insurance than cat insurance.

Because of its competitive reimbursement rates and deductibles, you'd think that Healthy Paws' plans would be expensive — but guess again. Healthy Paws plans cost an average of $39 per month for dogs and $12 per month for cats.

Healthy Paws also offers high reimbursement percentages, covering 70%, 80%, or 90% of veterinary fees. Its deductibles are also competitively priced, ranging from $100 to $500.

Pets Best offers accident-only or accident and illness plans. You can also add a wellness add-on to cover everything from microchipping to spay/neuter. 

The average cost of accident and illness pet insurance through Pets Best is between $35 and $58 per month for dogs and $22 and $46 per month for cats. The accident-only plan is much cheaper and costs around $6 to $10 per month.
