Built in 2007, this was Knoxville's first dog park, and it sits on just over one acre. While there is a separate small dog section in the park, if your dog loves to run, you may want to take them to the section for all dogs where there's more space for them to play. The PetSafe Village Dog Park has several amenities that make it an ideal place to go, including agility equipment, a pond, walking trails, seating and shade, doggy waste bins and bags, and a water fountain for dogs.

Holston River is a 136-mile river, and part of it flows along eastern Knoxville. This area of eastern Knoxville is also home to the Holston River Park, a 44-acre park that includes an off-leash dog park among several other amenities. The Holston River Dog Park is a two-acre dog park that has separate big and small dog sections. There are also water fountains, fire hydrants, waste disposal stations, and seating in the park. The park is situated along the two-mile Holston River Greenway, which is a lovely place to take your dog for a walk, but they must be on a leash.

Victor Ashe Park is a 116-acre park in northwest Knoxville, and it's less than 20 miles from Corryton. This city park has all sorts of facilities for everyone in your family to enjoy, including its own off-leash park! Dogwood Park is an off-leash park with big and small dog sections, as well as a variety of agility equipment, dog waste disposal supplies, and even a water fountain just for doggos! There's also a paved trail that stretches for 2/3 of a mile where you can walk your dog on a leash in Victor Ashe Park, or a 1.5-mile cross-country trail you can trek as well.

If your dog loves to swim, there's a dog park in southwest Knoxville that you simply can't miss! It's about 30 miles from Corryton, and the PetSafe Concord Park Dog Park is a paradise for dogs and owners. Concord Park is a 500-acre county park, and a four-acre dog park that includes big and small dog sections is part of that! This off-leash park has wooded walking trails winding through the park, as well as river access and a dock so your pup can swim. There are water fountains for humans and pets, and there are even doggy showers to clean your pup up at the end of your visit.

South Knoxville

If you hop in the car with your pup, it'll take the two of you around 20 minutes to get to Charter E. Doyle Park in southern Knoxville. This 28-acre city park has tennis courts, green space, playgrounds, sports fields, and its very own PetSafe Dog Park! The Charter Doyle PetSafe Dog Park was built in 2011, and this fenced, off-leash park has separate sections for big and small dogs. Within the park, you'll find doggy water fountains, waste disposal supplies, seating, and lots of shade for hot days. There's also a 0.4-mile walking trail in Charter Doyle Park that connects to the dog park, and you're welcome to walk this trail with your dog if they're on a leash.
