Central Pigeon Forge
Country Candy Kitchen, Country Candy Kitchen, Country Candy Kitchen! Try saying that three times fast. Located in central Pigeon Forge, this restaurant serves up delicious sweet treats, from homemade fudge to roasted peanuts. The best part? Fido can join you on the patio! He’ll need to stay on his leash, and you’ll also want to be mindful to keep him away from all the chocolate. Sweets can be tempting to dogs just like they can be to humans, and you’d hate for your pooch to get sick. If you’re looking for a different sweet, visit the Baskin-Robbins just up the road.

Sevierville City Park
Located seven miles north of Pigeon Forge is Sevierville City Park, which is home to Sevierville’s PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park. The name is a mouthful, but you’ll be too busy watching your pup have fun to care. This dog park has separate sections for large and small dogs, so your dog can stay safe while running around with his new friends. Don’t worry if your dog gets dirty while playing; it’s bound to happen, and this bark park has washing stations you can use. Water is provided for your dog, but it’s your responsibility to bring some waste disposal bags.

Central Gatlinburg
Want to get some retail therapy in while still hanging out with your dog? Visit Gatlinburg’s The Village Shops, which are about seven miles south of Pigeon Forge. Six or seven shops allow your dogs in the stores with you. Want a bird’s eye view of the city? Check out Gatlinburg Sky Lift, which allows well-behaved dogs to ride with you above the city! After you’re done, grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby dog-friendly restaurants. There are plenty to choose from, including a bar and grill, a funnel cake restaurant, a coffeehouse, and a psychedelic, 60’s inspired pizza place. Bone Appetit!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about ten miles from Pigeon Forge, and it’s sure to be fun for you and your adventurous dog! While there are several trails throughout the park, your dog can only join you on two of them: the Gatlinburg Trail and the Oconaluftee River Trail. There are some rules you must follow, though. Fido must stay on his leash at all times, and the leash can’t be any longer than six feet in length. You’re also responsible for cleaning up after your pet. Make sure you have plenty of water for both of you, and take a hike!

North Kodak
Looking to spend some time with your loyal canine companion? Want to find a bargain? Head about 30 minutes north of Pigeon Forge to Kodak, where you and your pup can visit the Great Smokies Flea Market! As long as your dog stays on his leash, he’s welcome in both the indoor and outdoor sections of the flea market. It can get quite crowded, though, so if your dog gets nervous around many people, you might want to leave him at home. You’re responsible for cleaning up after your dog, so make sure you bring plenty of waste bags along with you.
