Damascus, Oregon is the home of Little World's Fair. Although it was originally meant to shadow the World's Fair, it took on a life of its own. You can bring your dog with you to explore all the fascinating historic sights here. You can book a walking tour, complete with a guide, or you can just roam the city all on your own. From the biggest candle ever made to the world's oldest fair ride, you will find something to see and do, even if you don't go while the fair is in season.

You and your dog are sure to have a blast at Damascus Centennial Park. This is a quiet little park in the center of town. You can let the kids play or take a family walk through the park. There are doggie cleaning stations here so you can do your bit to help keep the park clean for everyone.

Trillum Creek Park is another furrific Fido-friendly spot in the community. Here, you'll find a walking trail that leads around a small lake. The trail is the pawfect place to share a quiet moment in nature with your pooch. Locals love spending quality time with their dogs at this park, so grab a leash and head on out to let your pal meet some new furry friends!

Sellwood Riverfront Park in Spokane is about fifteen miles from  Damascus. It is a small park, but it has a very important feature: an off-leash dog park! But this dog park isn't your average dog park; it provides access to the water so your pup can swim! The river is just the right spot for your dog to splash in on hot days. There is a large grassy spot that is pawfect for a good game of fetch. You will need to bring your own water, since there is no running water here. Trash cans are provided, but doggie waste bags are not, so bring some of those as well.

Mount Tabor Park is located about fifteen miles from Damascus in Portland. In this 200-acre open space, you can roam and play with your pup to your heart's content. When you're finished exploring, or just want somewhere to let your pup off leash, head over to the four-acre dog park. If your pup likes to run off, you may want to walk around the dog park before you let your dog off-leash. There are parts that have natural fence hedges and other parts where the fence is rather low. The dog park provides access to water and cleaning stations. Overall, if your dog behaves well, this is a great place to let your dog meet new fur friends!

You should take a seventeen-mile car ride and come on down to North Clackamas Dog Park in Milwaukie. This is a decent sized dog park where you can really let your dog play. This off-leash park is fenced and has plenty of space to run and romp, but there are no areas for small and large dogs here, so be sure your pup is comfortable playing with pooches of all sizes! You'll have access to drinking water and cleaning stations while you are here. The downside is that it does tend to get muddy when it rains. The path to the dog park is often muddier than the dog park itself, so be sure to bring some appropriate shoes if you're visiting on a rainy day.

Troutdale is about twelve miles from Damascus. This is where you will find Thousand Acres. As its name implies, this natural area encompasses 1,000 acres where you and your pup can walk, splash, and explore the Sandy River Delta. Leash up and hit the gravel trail if you're just looking for a quick walk. Be aware that the park can get quite muddy, particularly after a rain, so plan and pack supplies accordingly. You'll definitely need to bring water and waste bags since these aren't provided here. You will love the quiet peace within this park. Bring a lunch and make a full day of it! You'll need to have a leash on you at all times, but well-behaved dogs can get off-leash in the remote areas.

"JJ was awesome and very prompt on time. Kirara doesn't do well with others but they seemed to hit it off. At the end she returned leash and bag dispenser. She's got a good pace as Kirara was panting when I saw her. Thank you JJ!"
