True to its name, this park lies along the Carson River, and your dog can take a dip to cool off during your visit. Other activities in the park include non-motorized boating, picnicking, hiking, and horseback riding. There are also several trails throughout the park that make for a great place to walk your dog. South Central
South-central Reno, Nevada is just over 30 miles from Dayton, and this area is home to casinos, the airport, and a selection of parks. One of these parks is called Virginia Lake, and it surrounds its namesake lake.
