Acknowledged by the authorities but described as "unofficial", this off-leash area has a whopping 3.5 acres of open green space for your pooch to leap about and tire themselves out in. The area isn’t fenced, though it is surrounded by thick brush, and you’ll need to bring your own bags and water. Afterwards, you two can chow down at the Duvall Tavern. This local landmark serves up a seriously special burger, and caters to canine customers at their outdoor patio.

For dog-friendly hiking, look no fur-ther than the Snoqualmie Valley Trail! This 33-mile trail runs right through Duvall’s McCormick Park. You’ll find plenty of parking at the park’s Stephen Street entrance. A converted railway track, the popular walking route follows the Snoqualmie River as it winds through forest and farmland and past some ruins and sites of historical interest.
