It is time to take a twenty-mile drive right over to Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk. Grab a leash and take your dog on the most epic shopping trip ever. Most of these shops are not only fur-friendly, but also go beyond what they have to in order for you to feel safe and happy. There is no more waiting in an unsafe car -- Fido gets to come along with you to give you an opinion on that new outfit! As long as your pawesome pal stays on a leash, and is well-behaved, you both can shop till you drop.

It is a thirty-mile drive to go to Mill Woods Park Dog Park, but once you get here you will see what a difference there is between this and other dog parks. It is a place that allows dogs to be dogs. The fenced in area is secure so that your canine companion can run and play with other dogs safely. The entire place is fur-friendly with watering stations and cleaning stations to make sure you are well-taken care of. Your dog will love the laidback atmosphere on both sides of the dog park. It is a nice place to play.

Lite-N-Up invites you to join your dog for dinner at their outdoor tables. These tables are open anytime that the weather is nice. This café is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can get all your bakery favorites or a cup of coffee while you try to ignore Fido’s puppy eyes when he begs for a bite. You will love how friendly and accommodating the staff is. Meet your friends here to start your day or to discuss how your day went. As long as you keep your dog on her leash, you are welcome to stay and enjoy a meal together.

While you are visiting just seven miles from home, you should definitely check out Granby Dog Park. This is an off-leash park that features tall shade trees, lots of room to run, and even picnic areas. The gem of the park is the river that runs behind it. You can splash and play in the river with your dog here, so make sure to bring a swimsuit and a couple of towels! The water isn’t very deep, and offers you a great way to cool off in the summer.  This is going to be your new favorite spot in the area and you will want to come back to visit often.

You should go the five miles over to American Legion State Forest. It will give you a great adventure without having to go too far from home. There are multiple trails that are all varying lengths so you can choose how much of an adventure you would like to have each time that you visit. In the summer, this is the perfect place to go because all the trees offer you shade and a cool spot to explore to escape the heat and still enjoy being outside. Remember to bring water and doggie waste bags for picking up after your pal.
