As well as being a historic community, Monroe is also a furrific place to be a dog owner! There are many green spaces here that you can explore with your best furry friend. Your dog will enjoy walking through the town taking in the beauty as much as you do. So come on, grab a leash, put on your shoes, and let's go explore Monroe, Connecticut.
Our first stop is going to be a massive 300-acre park called Wolfe Park. Rails-to-Trails has established a few walking paths in this park. You will also find tennis courts, playgrounds, and so much more to do here. You can even camp and fish. Please remember to leave as little of an impact as possible on the land, which means cleaning up after your pup as well.
If you want to grab a bite to eat, stop by Carl Anthony's Trattoria. If the weather is nice, they open their patio tables for the pups to join their humans. While they do have a main restaurant at Clocktower Square, you can find their food trucks all over town.
