Saint Joe

The town of Saint Joe includes a church, a school, and some private estates. This residential area has country roads where you and Fido can get some exercise together. If you're looking for a pawtastic place to go camping with your special pal, head south about six miles to Tyler Bend Campground. There are walk-in and drive -in sites here that are available on a first-come basis. Dogs on a leash can join you in the campsite, on the Buffalo National River, and along the gravel bars at the water's edge. Make sure that you clean up after your pooch.

Pindall

Pindall is located about six miles northwest of Saint Joe. This rural community includes a post office and single-family homes. You and Fido can take a stroll along some back country roads here. Plan a camping and hiking getaway with your fur baby at the Buffalo Point Campground, located about 23. 5 miles to the east. There are drive-in and walk-in sites available here. Go hiking on the campground trails in this facility. The area has three interconnecting pathways that permit dogs on a leash. Remember to stick to the trail, bring water, and clean up after your four-footed friend while you're visiting.

Gilbert

Gilbert is a small town located about 6.6 miles southeast of town. There are single-family homes and a general store in the community. You and Fido can walk along the wooded roads or by the banks of the Buffalo National River to get some exercise. When you want to take your pup camping, head to the Gilbert RV Campground. This facility has tent and RV sites near the river. You can bring dogs here as long as they're on a leash whenever they're outside. Spend time in the camp, or get out on the water with your canine companion. Remember to clean up any droppings.

Western Grove

The small town of Western Grove is about 13 miles northwest of Saint Joe. There are private residences, a high school, and a few small businesses here. You can go for a walk with your pup along country lanes in this area, or plan a little getaway with your pooch. Head about ten miles northwest to Harrison Village Campground for a camping vacation. This peaceful facility has tent sites with electric service, pull-throughs, and full hookups. Relax at the picnic table or walk among the shade trees. Dogs are welcome to join you, provided they're on a leash and you pick up their waste.

Marshall

About 15 miles southeast of Saint Joe, you'll find the community of Marshall. This town includes residential and commercial areas. There are some peaceful blocks where you and your special pal can go for a stroll together. For a pawtastic adventure, head west about 33 miles to the Richland Creek Recreation Area in the Ozark National Forest. This facility offers camping, fishing, and day hiking. Follow the trails through the woods to view some spectacular scenery with your four-footed friend. You can bring dogs with you here as long as they're on a leash while in developed areas. Bring water and waste bags with you.
