Hendrix Village

Just over twenty-five miles away is a well-preserved piece of nostalgia. The Purple Cow in Conway is a retro diner where you and your hound can chow down. They specialize in gourmet burgers and purple vanilla shakes. You can bring your fur-baby with you to sip on a shake while you take in the feel of this '50s-style diner. You do have to keep your dog on a leash while you are here, but if you share your burger, she won't mind! This is a family restaurant. Don't forget your quarters so that you can pick your favorite song from the jukebox!

Don Owen Sports Complex

The Don Owen Sports Complex in Conway has a new addition: the Conway Dog Park. This is a city dog park that's open to the public. You will find two play areas, each with their own water station and doggie clean-up station. There are benches for you to sit on and watch your pet play. The agility equipment can be used to play or for you to train your dog. The best part -- all dogs' favorite part -- is that this is an off-leash area where your pup can just run and run without a care. The park is open daily from dawn till dusk.

Lake Bennet

Wolly Hollow State Park on Lake Bennet is located in Green Brier, which is about eighteen miles from Center Ridge. There is a lot for your family to do here, including camping, fishing, and even hiking. Your puppy can even come to swim with you! You must always keep your pup on a leash while you are playing here. There are restrooms, but you can't take your pup inside, so you will want to bring your own water for him. Please make sure that you always clean up after your pup. Come and spend a day having fun in the sun at this furrific park!

Highway 65

L'attitude Bistro is located in Conway, on the edge of town as you head out towards Choctaw. It is less than twenty miles from Center Ridge. This is an American-style diner where you can bring your dog with you to enjoy a meal. The outside seating area is a comfortable, dog-friendly place to chow down. While you are here, you simply must try the Loaded Baked Potato Soup! The locals rave about it because it is made daily from scratch. They also have a wide range of sandwiches as well. Please remember to keep your dog on a leash, and bring a water bowl for her.

Route 65

If you are looking for a place to stretch all six of your legs, or just want a new adventure to try, then you should check out Natural Bridge, a popular attraction for locals and visitors also located in Clinton. Here, you can enjoy a little bit of history and nature. The cabins that are here are historic landmarks. You and your dog can tour them, or just stick to walking the trails. This is a quick stop -- you can probably see everything here in less than half an hour. You will have to keep your dog on a leash. Please remember to pick up after your dog so this spot can remain pet-friendly.
