If you're looking for a place to hike through nature with your four-footed friend, head around Lake Maumelle to the Bufflehead Bay Trail. This out-and-back pathway is 0.8 miles long. Follow the trail to a peninsula where you can catch furrific views of the water. Dogs are permitted to join you as long as you keep them on a leash and under control. Pinnacle

Pinnacle, located about seven miles south of town, is a far northwestern suburb of Little Rock. This residential community lies at the base of a mountain and includes some homes and a few churches. When you want to get fresh air and exercise with your fur baby, head to the Kingfisher Trail at Pinnacle Mountain. The pathway is a half-mile loop that follows along the Little Maumelle River.
