When you are in Heber Springs, be sure to head to Sugarloaf Mountain! This is a beautiful place for a hike with your pooch where you can enjoy sniff-tastic trails and climb the rock to the top. You can enjoy beautiful views and this is sure to burn some excitable energy! If you get hungry, head on over to the Jitterbug Coffee House! This is a puptastic place that serves up delicious sweet treats, as well as fresh coffee so that you can keep up with your pup. In addition, there is a furrific patio where you can sit with your beloved companion on leash – bone-a-petit!

Route 25/ Case Ford Rd
Every pooch loves a trip to the park, so be sure to head to Spring Park when you are in Heber Springs! This is a pawsome place where your canine can enjoy some playtime and exercise out on the open grass and on the sniff-tastic trails here. There is also a playground for the kids, basketball court, skate park and benches where you can chill out. For comfortable and dog friendly accommodation in Heber Springs, check in to the Quality Inn! Here you can bring two canines to stay weighing up to 25 lbs for a small additional fee. In addition, you can stay at the Budget Inn with your pooch. Here you can bring two puppers to stay of any size and you just have to pay a small fee per night.

Quitman
Not far from Heber Springs, you will reach the puptown of Quitman! This is a puptastic place to visit with your pooch since it is home to Cove Creek Park. This is a furrific place for some exercise out in the fresh air and to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can enjoy the sniff-tastic trails here, and the there is also a boat ramp out into the Greers Ferry Lake. In addition, there is a campground where you can sleep under the stars with your pooch that features restrooms and shower facilities, as well as a swimming area and picnic shelter.

Tumbling Shoals
For a pawsome day out with your furry friend, jump in the car and head to the Old Hwy 25 Recreation Area! Here you can have a barking good time with your canine on the sniff-tastic trails you can explore. Enjoy the peacefulness of the woods while checking out the wildlife, such as deer, turkeys and rabbits. You can also fish on Greers Ferry Lake and go boating. In addition, you are able to camp here with your pup, with amenities including hook-ups, restrooms, showers, picnic shelters and a boat ramp.
Higden
A barking good place for pups is the Cherokee Recreation Area! This pawsome place is located in Higden, which is not far from Heber Springs. You can enjoy some sniff-tastic trails through nature, and your pup is sure to love all of the new scents and sights here. In addition, there is access to Greers Ferry Lake at the Cherokee Recreation Area, with a boat launch and a beach. Be sure to bring some water for your pup on hot days. There is also a campground at the Cherokee Recreation Area where you can enjoy the outdoors. There are electric campsites, as well as restrooms and drinking water available.
