Each section has a separate entrance, and there are also water stations for dogs, pet waste disposal supplies, and lots of seating for pet parents.36

Echo Mountain Foothills
Echo Mountain Foothills is a Phoenix neighborhood that's only 15 miles from Carefree. Most of the homes in this neighborhood are spacious single-family homes, close to good schools and exciting recreational activities. Echo Mountain Foothills is also where you'll find the Grover's Basin Dog Park, also known as the Echo Mountain Off-Leash Area. This fenced off-leash park has different enclosures for large and small dogs in its 2.3 acres. There are also waste disposal supplies and seating areas throughout the park. There is a watering station for dogs, but some visitors note it doesn't always work properly, so it may be best to bring your own supply of drinking water.24

Paradise Valley Village
Paradise Valley Village is an area of northeastern Phoenix known for its upscale dining, shopping, and residences. It's less than 20 miles from Carefree, and this is where you'll find the Paradise Valley Dog Park. There are 2.4 acres to explore at this off-leash park, and they include separate big and small dog areas that each have a double-gated entry system. Villages North
Villages North is an area of southern Scottsdale known for its great condos and vacation rentals. It's about a 20-minute drive south of carefree, and it's also where you'll find the Horizon Dog Park. This off-leash park is one open space where dogs of all sizes can interact without being separated by their weight. There are water fountains for humans and canines, a water feature to help control the dust, as well as covered seating areas and waste disposal supplies. Horizon Dog Park isn't a flat dog park. Instead, it's bowl-shaped, so the park is prone to flood after it rains so keep an eye out for park closures before you visit.
