Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am an animal lover by nature. I grew up surrounded by animals and raised a Border-Collie mix pup to live a long, healthy and happy 16 years! I have walked dogs, house-sat, and cared for all kinds of pets for over 16 years. Obedience classes & agility training courses were part of the growing up process with my own dog, Sara. Mostly we had a fun, goofy time just playing. She went everywhere with me! Since she passed away, I take any chance I can to be around my canine pals. I've always had an affinity for dogs large & small, with boundless energy or a calm disposition. I know how important it is to have your dog(s) well-cared for while you are busy or traveling so I am here to help! I am always up for a leisurely stroll in the neighborhood, brisk walk or challenging hike. Whatever your needs are I can meet them. I feel very fortunate to be able to walk a variety of dogs. It would be my great pleasure to meet your dog and make a new friend!

It all started with a Kelpie to whom I got to be “Mommy” for nearly 16 years. That incredible and life-changing experience catalyzed my shift in professional direction to pet care services. Now, I am certified with DogTec as well as Pet Sitters International; trained in pet first aid and CPR. I live in Adam’s Point near Lake Merritt. I welcome senior, special needs and/or timid pets. I am highly experienced in administering oral medications as well as performing basic physical therapy stretching routines. Let me create a safe, happy, adventure-filled experience for your furry baby that passes the sniff test every time!

I became an official dog owner at a young age when I was given a husky for my 13th birthday. Ever since, I have had many experiences caring for all kinds of dogs. The history of breeds I have cared for range from small dogs such as terriers and chihuahuas to large dogs including pit bulls and bulldogs. My volunteer experience includes working at the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation (LBWF). During my time at this animal shelter, I cleaned, walked, and fed many dogs who were rescued.

Belvedere Tiburon is technically a name given to two small cities – Belvedere and Tiburon – on the coast of California, right across the bay from San Francisco. The coastal towns are popular spots for families who want some luxurious homes on the water, but there aren’t many activities available for pups in the area, and you’ll have to go to neighboring towns to visit a vet clinic.
But, there are plenty of dog-friendly activities nearby, within about a 10-mile radius. The Strawberry Village Shopping Center in Mill Valley is a pupular spot for dogs and their owners to go. This outdoor shopping center has sidewalk merchants and outdoor eating spots to enjoy, plus you can window shop with your pooch to your heart’s content! If you want a little more adventure, hop on the Mill Valley-Sausalito Path, which stretches over four miles between the two cities it’s named after.
Travel a few miles north from Mill Valley and you’ll come to San Anselmo, which is the home of Robson-Harrington Park, a furtastic spot for leashed dogs to enjoy gorgeous gardens and open play areas with their owners. Other pawesome dog-friendly towns nearby include Corte Madera and Sausalito, both of which are only about seven miles from Belvedere Tiburon!
About 4.8 miles from Belvedere Tiburon is Shelter Ridge, a neighborhood in Mill Valley, CA. The neighborhood is the home of the furtastic Mill Valley Dog Park, which not only acts as an off-leash dog park, but also somewhat of a dog-friendly beach! Your pooch can splash in the water here as he makes some new friends in the sun. Mill Valley is also a good spot for some paw-friendly dining, featuring restaurants with outdoor seating for you and your dog to enjoy a meal together. Try Tamalpie for some incredible salads, pastas, and more, or head to Super Duper Burgers for a casual dining atmosphere with some delicious food.
Larkspur in Corte Madera is 7.5 miles from Belvedere Tiburon. This neighborhood is where you’ll find Piper Park, a public park with open space and hiking trails. Pooches are welcome on designated dog-friendly trails, and there’s even an off-leash dog area to enjoy within the park boundaries. You and your furry friend can also take a trip on the Larkspur Path, a Rails-to-Trails hiking and biking path that has over a mile of space to roam. Growling bellies can stop for a bite to eat at Left Bank, a dining spot that features locally-grown organic foods and has an outdoor terrace that welcomes furry paws.
Madera Gardens is a neighborhood in Corte Madera, CA, that’s just over six miles from Belvedere Tiburon. If you’re a shopping fanatic, you will love visiting the Village at Corte Madera. This mall is dog-friendly, so well-behaved, leashed pups can join their owners to wander around, window shop, and socialize with other dog lovers! This neighborhood also has plenty of pawtastic restaurants that welcome dogs, like Pacific Catch, a seafood restaurant with a few outdoor, dog-friendly tables for you and Spot to dine together. If you’re looking for a quick, casual place to stop, try Café Verde, which is perfect for a fast breakfast or lunch with your pooch.
Nevada Valley in Sausalito is about 6.9 miles from Belvedere Tiburon. You and your dog can enjoy the beautiful outdoors here at Remington Dog Park, which has just over an acre of fenced-in space so that your dog can play and socialize off his leash. If you’re looking for even more of an adventure, you can visit Bluerush Boardsports, which offers dog paddles twice every month! You and your favorite pup can have a one-of-a-kind opportunity paddling around Sausalito’s gorgeous waters. Hungry? Head to Fish, a seafood restaurant right near the water that has outdoor paw-friendly seating for you and a canine friend.
New Town in Sausalito is about 8.4 miles from Belvedere Tiburon. The beautiful Gabrielson Park is located here. This public park offers breathtaking views of the water, making the perfect pawportunity for some selfies and fun in the sun with your pup. The park welcomes leashed dogs, and even hosts occasional shows and events at which your dog can join you. This neighborhood is also full of dog-friendly eating spots, like Poggio Trattoria, an Italian restaurant that uses mostly locally-grown ingredients. Or, try F3, also known as Fast Food Francais, which features French-inspired American favorites that are sure to delight you and your pup’s palates.
