Presidio

Presidio

If you find yourself in Greenbrae with your pooch and you want to visit a beach where your precious fur baby is allowed, check out Baker Beach. This Fido-friendly beach is around 13 miles south of Greenbrae, in San Francisco's Presidio neighborhood. On this beach, you can see one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge, so you can take the most magical photos of your pet! Dogs are allowed to play off-leash in some parts of the beach, but they'll need to be on-leash in others. Be sure to pay attention to the signage. Richmond District

Richmond District

If you're in the mood for something other than sand and splashing in the water, then you should consider visiting Golden Gate Park. This park is located 14 miles away from Greenbrae, in San Francisco's Richmond District. This park is known among the locals as one of the most popular dog-friendly parks in San Francisco. Why? Because, in this park, you'll find not one, not two, but four designated off-leash areas where your canine friends can have the time of their lives! Some of the areas are fenced. There are plenty of toys to play with in the fenced zones. Make sure your buddy responds well to voice commands if you're in an unfenced area.

Ocean Beach is another beach where you can take your four-legged buddy to dip his paws in the salty surf. This very pawpular beach is located in Outer Sunset, around 16 miles away from Greenbrae. There is a designated area here where dogs are allowed to play and exercise off-leash. Be aware that the waves can wash up a lot of seaweed and even jellyfish, so make sure you supervise your fur baby closely. The beach is very well-maintained, though.
