Evergreen, California is actually neighborhood located in San Jose, where it provides quick and easy access to the massive Joseph D. Grant County Park! The Joseph D. Grant County Park is the largest in Santa Clara County, coming in at 10,882 acres, offering a 51-mile hiking and equestrian trail, picnic areas, mountain biking, and camping! Dogs that are kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet are welcome to enjoy the campgrounds, picnic area and trails. If you’ve worked up an appetite after all that sun and hiking, Caspian Village and Mexico Lindo accommodate canine companions on their outdoor patio area!

South San Jose

8 miles south of Evergreen, South San Jose is a residential community that is easily accessible from Guadalupe Freeway and Bayshore Freeway. Hellyer Dog Park welcomes pups to come and play off-leash in a large fenced-in area! It also provides water, a grassy area and dirt area, and waste bags. Coyote Cree Trail is part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy Project that repurposes unused railroads into walking trails that can be utilized to promote physical activity for on-leash pups and their human cohorts. Waterford Park, Meadows Park, and Parkview II Park allow on-leash dogs to stroll the walking paths and open spaces for some local fun and exercise!

Cambrian Park

Twelve miles south east of Evergreen, the family-friendly neighborhood of Cambrian Park is near the Norman Y. Mineta Highway and Guadalupe Freeway. Butcher Dog Park is a fenced, off-leash pooch play area that is complete with a large and small dog area, shade trees, benches, drinking fountains and AstroTurf areas! Miyuki Dog Park is an intimate off leash space where your dog can meet and greet other doggies in AstroTurf or graveled areas. Big E Café, Royal Taj India Cuisine, and Grill’Em accommodate our four-legged friends to enjoy their outdoor patios!

Alamitos

Alamitos, California is only a short 9-mile drive south from Evergreen directly off the Norman Y Mineta Highway and the Almaden Expressway. The Jefferey Fontana Dog Park is a place where your pooch can come play off-leash in a securely fenced-in area. Comes with seating and a separate area for large and small dogs. Selma Olinder Dog Park gives your pooch the opportunity to romp around off-leash in a secure area, complete with small and large dog spaces, benches, and night lighting! For on-leash exercise, Roosevelt Park, William Street Park both provide sidewalks and open grass spaces that you guys can take advantage of in Brookwood.
