Within East Whittier is the 2.7-mile Arroyo Pescadero Trail and Deer Loop Trail. The trail is a loop and is a moderate hike with an elevation gain of 291 feet. The park also has a playground for your two-legged kids, so the whole family can enjoy the serene setting.

Schabarum Regional Park for some quality outdoor time with Fido. This 575-acre park is the pride of the neighborhood. Around 75 acres are specifically developed for hiking, picnics, and playing. The park is federally protected, so your dog will need to be on a leash as you explore the area.
