“Professional, Caring, and I take Cute Pet Photos”
Hi my name is Laura. I’m a registered nurse by profession but animals hold a special place in my heart. I started riding horses when I was 5 years old and rode for 10 years, have owned and cared for a wide variety of pets both big and small (currently a bunny mamma to two little lion heads) and I have volunteer experience working in an animal hospital. I'm excited to say that I have been working with Wag! for the past 4 years and cannot wait to meet your pup!

“Walking dogs adds so much to my life.”
I have been an avid animal lover and champion all my life. I love dogs of all sizes and breeds, and always welcome opportunities to meet and learn about a new dog.I found an outlet for my passion when I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to volunteer at the Wildlife Waystation. Twenty years later, I departed with memories of many great animal experiences. While I cannot accommodate a dog where I live, I have spent lots of time working with and learning about the dogs of friends.

West Covina, California, is just a short drive away from Los Angeles and Pasadena, two cities that are far more pup-friendly! But, the town does have some fun things for you and your dog to do, like its own dog park and some paw-friendly shopping locations and eateries. West Covina also has eight veterinary clinics ready to keep your dog in good health.
Pasadena offers many more opportunities for you and your dog, though. The main part of the city offers The Dog Bakery, which cooks up dog-friendly biscuits and other goodies. Frisbee Golf Course – one of the world’s very first disc golf courses! – allows dogs to join their owners for a fun game of disc golf.
Sierra Madre is about the same distance from West Covina as many parts of Pasadena are. This town has some wonderful trails for you and your pooch to em-bark on, like the Chantry Flats. This area offers several dog-friendly trails that wind through gorgeous natural landscapes and camping spots. Adventurous hikers can even take on the trail to Mt. Wilson, a beautiful landmark in Southern California. No matter where you are in West Covina, you’re only a few barks away from a good time with your furry friend.
The Del Norte Park area of West Covina is the home of its namesake, Del Norte Park, which features a designated dog area for your beloved pooch! The fenced park has plenty of lush grass for your dog to run in, and even has some fun water activities for hot days! Need a new spot to eat with your furry friend? Lazy Dog Café is the place to be, offering some of your favorite American foods like burgers and barbecue ribs. Not only is some of the seating dog-friendly, but so is the atmosphere and décor. Lisa’s Coffee Shop also offers some delicious eats with an outdoor seating area that welcomes four-legged friends.
Mid Central Pasadena is just over 15 miles from West Covina. This is the spot to be if you want virtually endless options for dog-friendly restaurants nearby! Howling for some Mexican cuisine? Try Sharky’s Mexican Grill, which has all your favorite Mexican dishes with some modern, California-style twists. Tummy growling for some Mediterranean food? Mediterranean Café offers budget-friendly favorites, like kebabs, Greek salads, and more. Does your dog go mutts for a casual café vibe? Corner Bakery offers sweet treats, coffees, sandwiches, and more. All of these options have outdoor seating, perfect for you and your dog to enjoy a meal together.
Just a minute or two drive from Mid Central Pasadena is the West Central neighborhood of the city. This neighborhood is just as good a spot as Mid Central for its variety of dog-friendly restaurants. All India Café, for example, is one place you can go to treat your dog to some authentic Indian cuisine. Porta Via Italian Foods is a pupular spot for those looking for some of the best Italian pastas and meats around. Redwhite+Bluezz is a pawsome, casual hangout spot that serves up a variety of foods from all over the world while you listen to incredible jazz music and musicians! Your dog is welcome to join you at any of these restaurants’ outdoor patios.
Hastings Ranch in Pasadena is a little over 14 miles from West Covina. You can take Fido on a fun outing here to Alice’s Dog Park, a pupular spot that has over two acres of space for your dog to play safely without chemical-treated grass! And, the park checks that all dogs have a current license and vaccine record for everyone’s safety. You can also head to Daphne’s California Greek restaurant in Hastings Ranch, which gives you a menu full of California-style Greek favorites, like pitas, wraps, and more. The restaurant has outdoor dog-friendly seating for you and your pooch.
The Upper Highland Oaks neighborhood of Sierra Madre sits northeast of Pasadena and is about 12 miles from West Covina, CA. This area is the home of the Sierra Madre Dog Park, a small but well-maintained park that offers a fully-fenced perimeter for your dog to run, play, and soak up some sun (and shade!). Head to Lucky Baldwins Delirium Pub here, too, if you want a laid-back atmosphere for some drinks and casual meals. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly! The nearby Bean Town Coffee House & Bakery is also a hit with dog owners. Have your coffee at one of the outdoor tables with your pooch.
