San Dimas Canyon
If your furry friend is begging for some off leash play time, head over to the San Dimas Dog Park. Located in the San Dimas Canyon area, this one acre park is perfect for romping and rolling around. Your pup’s tail will wag with delight as she meets new friends and explores the grassy terrain. If she’s a petite pooch and worried about fraternizing with the big dogs, she can frolic in the separate small dog area. Doggy water fountains are available, so make sure your pooch takes a water break every once in awhile.

Via Verde/ San Dimas Blvd
The Via Verde and San Dimas Boulevard neighborhood is home to the Frank G. Bonelli Park. Your furry friend won’t want to miss out on this fun filled park. With over 1,900 acres and a lake, this park has a lot to offer. People flock to this park for the picnicking, horseback riding, camping, golfing, and cycling. But your pal will be most interested in the pawsome hiking. Bonelli Park View Trail clocks in at 4.1 miles, while Bonelli Park Trail runs 6.8 miles. If you’re short on time, or want a more relaxed walk, there are also several small trails that range from half a mile to 1.5 miles.

San Dimas Ave/ Gladstone St
Whether you and your furry BFF are just passing through San Dimas or are staying for awhile, there are a few pet friendly hotels to choose from. Located in the San Dimas Avenue and Gladstone Street area, Extended Stay America welcomes four legged guests, so book a room and let your pal get some much needed rest. With a couple pet friendly restaurants, this neighborhood is the perfect spot to grab a bit to eat with Fido. Sweet and Savory Bakery and Cafe serves up baked goods, pasta, sandwiches and soup. Your pup can sit with you at one of the outdoor tables. The Rail Side Café is also in the area. Get your daily coffee fix and a pastry from this family operated café. Dogs are welcome in the umbrella patio seating section.

Via Verde/ Puente Ave
Is your pup looking to add some adventure to her life? Take a trip to Walnut Creek Park in the Via Verde and Puente Avenue neighborhood. You’ll find trails that wander through a beautiful wooded area. If your pooch gets hot, she can cool her paws in the stream that runs through the park. The Michael D. Antonovich Trail passes through Walnut Creek Park. Hop on this trail to continue toward the Frank G. Bonelli Park. From start to finish, this trail runs six miles with not much elevation gain. Keep your pup leashed since you may encounter horseback riders.
