You will find meadows and picnic areas throughout the area. It is a great way to spend a day in nature with your canine companion. Sierra Madre

If you are looking for a moderate to intense trail to enjoy nature with your fur family, then take a ten-minute car ride to Mt Wilson Trail. This trail is a three-mile hike through nature and a quaint village and ends a freshwater stream. You will want to bring plenty of water to last you to the end. Glendale

It in the heart of Glendale, which is just a 17-mile trip from Monrovia, is a nice little getaway. Griffith Park Dog Park is nothing too fancy, but it is just what you need to get out of the house and enjoy some off-leash freedom. You will find two large, fenced areas for your puptastic pal to play in. You can watch Fido make friends and play to his heart’s content in the shady beach area. Of course, there are water fountains set up so that you and your best pal can have a drink. The best part is the simplicity of just being able to run free for a bit.

Arroyo Seco Park

There is a hidden gem that lies just 22 miles from Monrovia in historic Arroyo Seco Park. Arroyo Seco Park is in North Eastern La and it holds Hermon Dog Park. When you first get to the park, Fido will need to stay on his leash until you get past the mini human area. Then you will find two large, fenced in areas just for your furry friend to get off his leash and enjoy a good run. With shaded areas, water stations, and benches for you to rest, this is a great place for everyone to run, play, or even just sit and relax the day away.

Pasadena

Just under ten miles from Monrovia you will find Alice’s Dog Park in Pasadena. This park claims to be an herbicide-free, grassy area for dogs to run and play. There are two fenced-in areas for dogs of different sizes. Each side has its very own watering stations. The large part is triple gated to ensure the safety of all the dogs visiting. There is a little over 2 acres in all for your canine companion to explore. Meanwhile, you can relax on the benches or play fetch with your best pal. Cleaning stations are set up to encourage a clean environment for everyone.
