South Lemon Cove
Situated south of town, the Lemon Cove Village Park is a unique tiny home community created from an abandoned RV campground. The area is family friendly and offers plenty of trees and open spaces where you and Fido can walk around. There is a pet area near the edge of the park where your pooch can run and play in a fenced area, but you will need to bring your own water and doggie waste bags. The small playground will keep kids entertained, and you can relax with your pup on a shaded bench and let Fido roll around in the grass and have a puptastic time.

Sierra Drive/ Horse Creek Road
The Horse Creek Campground is located on Sierra Drive and is a great camping area for families and their furry friends. You can bring your RV or put up a tent on one of the 76 sites and enjoy some time in the great outdoors. While staying at the campground, plan a day of hiking on the mountain trails enjoying the views and wildlife. You can also stroll along Lake Kaweah and let Fido sniff the plants or get his feet wet in the water. The campground is well-maintained and provides convenient restrooms and trash receptacles.

Downtown Woodlake
About six miles northwest of Lemon Cove, you will find the Woodlake Botanical Garden, a fun park for pups and their families. You can walk Fido on a leash through the amazing landscape and admire the flowers and native plants. There are educational activities and produce tasting stations where you can learn about local vegetation. The trail is about 1.2 miles and is wheelchair and stroller accessible and you will be impressed by the views of the lake and the mountains in the background. Make sure to bring your own doggie waste bags and dispose of trash properly.

Sierra Drive
The Slick Rock Recreation Area is about 10 miles northeast of Lemon Cove and is a perfect place to walk with Fido. During the wet season, Winter or Spring, you will be able to admire a variety of vegetation and your pup can sniff all the plants and bushes. During the dry season, you can stroll along the lake and find a spot to spread a blanket for a picnic. While hiking, be sure to keep your pooch on a leash, as there is a variety of wildlife in the area. If you need a place to spend the night with your pup, make a reservation at Americas Best Value Inn where your pup is welcome for an additional fee.
Walnut to Pine
Fido will love the puptacular Exeter Bark Park just 10 miles southwest of Lemon Cove. The off-leash park is off Hwy 198 and features a large space to let Fido run around and get some exercise. While the pups are socializing, relax on a shaded bench and sip a cold bottle of water. You will need to bring doggie waste bags and a water bowl for your pooch. The park is maintained by volunteers, so be sure to clean up after your furry pal. After spending time in the dog park, go for a walk through downtown and admire the gardens and interesting boutiques.
