West Park
Within the neighborhood of West Park, in the city of Fresno just north of Raisin City, pup and you can enjoy the areas beautiful parks. Sunset Neighborhood Center is a one-acre park which offers BBQ grills, a children’s play area, public restrooms and water. Neilsen Park is a 4.4-acre park which has open spaces, BBQ grills and picnic tables, sports fields and restrooms. And don’t forget historic Kerney Park, which is filled with beautiful gardens, playgrounds, and grassy sports fields. On-leash dogs are welcome anywhere! Be sure to bring burgers to grill, water, and clean-up bags to this areas parks.

Fowler
The small agricultural vineyard neighborhood of Fowler, in the city of Fowler, offers a fantastic dog-lover’s park, just east of Raisin City. Panzak Park covers an entire city-sized block. Although Panzak has no specific walking trails, there are plenty of grassy areas to romp with your pup to tire the old dog out, and very large, old shade trees to relax under afterwards. There are sports fields and a pickleball court, but there is no water or restrooms available, so plan accordingly. Plan a picnic lunch for you both at one of their shaded picnic tables.

Arrants/ McCall
Southeast of Raisin City is the Arrants/McCall neighborhood in the city of Selma, the Raisin Capital of the World! This small town offers lots of options for you and your furry friend. The pawtastic Brentlinger Park is full of open space for you and your pup to stretch your legs, sports fields, and pickleball courts. Or head over to Lincoln Park, also an open-space park, with its band stand, senior center and plenty of park benches to relax upon. Both parks offer restrooms with water and require pups to be leashed. Clean-up bags are appreciated to keep these parks perfect!

San Joaquin
Just west of Raisin City in the town of San Joaquin lies the Mendota Wildlife Area. This flatland covers 11,800 acres and offers dogs and humans the ability to become one with nature! Bring your furry friend and meander through Mendota’s wetland filled with waterfowl and rare plants. There is a boat launch on the lake, but otherwise there is lots of open space. Enjoy the day in the fresh California air with your best pup where dogs are allowed off-leash except between April 1 – June 30. Pack some great sandwiches, snacks and plenty of water, and don’t forget the clean-up bags to keep this area pristine.

Lions Park
The neighborhood of Lions Park, in the city of Kerman, northeast of Raisin City, is home to Lion’s Park. This 18-acre park offers wide open spaces for you to roam with your pup, grassy sports fields, and horseshoe pits. This is the perfect place to take your fur-iendly friend where you will find benches, a variety of picnic tables, public restrooms and water available. There is also a very large pavilion with electrical hookups and a B.B.Q. pit. Bring some burgers for a great meal with Fido! Keep your pup on leash and be sure to bring clean-up bags!
