The city of Madera, California was incorporated in March of 1907. Madera acquired its name from the Spanish word which means lumber; this is because it was home to the California Lumber Company that shipped lumber by train.

This off-leash, fenced-in dog park allows your pup the freedom to run around and just be himself. The park covers a large area, and the surface is grassy, which means it's soft under your pal's paws. There's plenty of seating as well as a lot of trees for shade. A great feature of this park is that it has plastic pools for your pooch to make a splash in or just cool off. You will want to bring water and cleanup supplies with you, since they're not provided here.
