Dog Areas in Penngrove

Nestled between the cities of Petaluma and Cotati at the foot of Sonoma Mountain sits the Penngrove, California area. It's also part of the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay area, and more than 2,500 people call it home. Although just a small town, Penngrove has a 0.3-mile Main Street, a school, a church, a post office, a fire department, and many other convenient amenities. Because it's located at the base of a mountain, the soil in Penngrove is unique and used as a building material for many historic structures in the area. Recreational activities in the area are plentiful, and dog owners will love how many off-leash dog parks are just a short drive from Penngrove!

McNear is an area of eastern Petaluma that's only seven miles from Penngrove. This area is also home to the Rocky Memorial Dog Park, a nine-acre off-leash space pawfect for allowing energetic dogs to burn off some steam. This area isn't fenced in, but it's positioned far from roads, and with so much space, as long as your dog has recall skills, it's still a tremendous off-leash park. There are water buckets positioned throughout the park that are usually filled, but bring your own drinking water just in case. This is only one of several dog parks near Penngrove that you and your dog are sure to love!
