Just four miles away from Phelan is the incredible Angeles National Forest area of Arcadia. The national park not only has some dog-friendly hotels for you and your pup to plan a visit, but it also has several trails that allow leashed dogs and their owners to explore. The Devil’s Punchbowl Trail is one of the easier hikes you can do with your dog, at slightly over a mile in length. Waterman Mountain Trail will give you more of a challenge, though, and will take you a couple of hours to complete – but you’ll also get some calm, beautiful sights along the way.

Ewitanda

Ewitanda is a neighborhood in Rancho Cucamonga which is about 34 miles south of Phelan. The Ewitanda Dog Park is one place your pup is sure to fall in love with, offering a fenced-in spot for her to run and socialize safely. There are also several shade trees to keep your pup cool in the hot sun. On a rainy day, you can still have some fun with your pooch here. Skyland

The Skyland area of Crestline, CA, is a little over 43 miles from Phelan. The neighborhood is only minutes away from the pupular Lake Arrowhead and has a few dog-friendly hotels that make the pawfect place to stop on a long trip. Here, you can visit Lake Gregory Regional Park.
