The park has everything you could want: about 2 acres of open space split into two separate sections for small and large breeds, benches, and mulch. There is also an amazing swimming hole to let your mutt cool off a bit! Hungry? The Full Belly Deli knows how to make you and your hound happy. Locals say that this joint serves the best sandwiches in Paso Robles!

El Bordo

El Bordo Avenue in nearby Atascadero, California will lead you to a magnificent recreation area with wonderful parks and a natural landscape. Charming and quiet, Heilmann Regional Park features more than 102 acres of play areas, sports courts, and wonderful shaded walking trails where you can take a stroll with your pooch. But, to make most of the place, pay a visit to Heilmann Dog Park, a fenced, pet-friendly enclosure tucked behind the main park. The area is covered in mulch and wood chips, and has seating with umbrellas for owners as well as plenty of friendly local pups to play with!

Laguna Lake

The majestic area of Laguna Lake, located to the west of historic downtown San Luis Obispo, is a great place to stop by with Fido to breathe some fresh air and enjoy the great outdoors! For those who love lake views and mindful walks, Laguna Lake Park Open Space offers a wide variety of walking trails winding throughout woodlands to the welcoming shoreline. If walking trails won't satisfy your hyper hound, Laguna Lake Dog Park is your best option! This vast terrain has plenty of room to run and play, some benches to sit and relax, and access to the water. Keep in mind that the park isn't fenced.

El Chorro

The El Chorro area, featuring a public park, a golf course, a dog park, and a conference center, is located across from Cuesta College in the northern part of San Luis Obispo.
