Your pup will love running along the sand dunes. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you since your pup shouldn't drink ocean water, and don't forget your clean-up bags.

Oceano Beach

Head out to the Pismo State Beach for a fun afternoon out at the beach with your furry pal. This pawsome beach welcomes your leashed pup to join you to explore the beach and run along the dunes. The beach is known to be popular among other dog walkers and horseback riders, as well as off-highway vehicles cruising on the dunes. Make sure to bring plenty of water for you and Fido, and check the sand to make sure your pup's feet don't get burned. Don't forget your clean-up bags either while visiting this state beach together.

Rockaway Ave

If you and your pup get a little hungry, head over to Grover Beach to get a tasty bite to eat. The Spoon Trade offers a wide selection of beers and wine, plus their menu offers fried chicken and burgers. Station Grille offers breakfast and lunch classics with specialty omelets, French Toast and a homemade meatloaf that your pup will be drooliing over. Both of these restaurants offer outdoor patios that are dog friendly. Only two miles out of Oceano in Grover Beach, your pup will love visiting these restaurants with you after a great day out at the beach.

Arroyo Grande

The Elm Street Dog Park is a pawsome park to let your pup run around off leash and meet some new friends. This newly added dog park offers wood chips and grass to run on, and a shade covering so you and Fido can stay cool. There are restrooms and water fountains so Fido can stay hydrated while he runs around with his new friends, plus the park is double gated for safety. Only three miles out of Oceano in Arroyo Grande, your dog will love his break from the leash to go hang out at this pawsome dog park.

Pismo Beach

Grab Fido and head out to the Pismo Beach neighborhood for some delicious eats together. Mon Ami is a cozy cafe that has a variety of sweet and savory crepes that you both can enjoy. Their crepes can be made for any meal, and they also serve coffee, paninis, and smoothies. Wooly's is a beachfront restaurant that is a traditional bar and grill. They offer an array of different foods, and provide water for your pup. Chipwrecked offers American fare to locals and tourist with a menu that includes some unique dishes. All of these restaurants offer dog friendly patios, and are only located three miles out of Oceano.
