Lapham Road
This neighborhood is home to New Canaan’s one off-leash area, Spencer’s Run Dog Park. This dog park is located within Waveny Park, and it has one large, fenced-in field where dogs can run around and make new friends. There are also trees to keep the park cool in summer, and there’s water available for your dog. To use the dog park, you’ll have to fill out a registration form, pay a small fee, and bring the form to the New Canaan Recreation Office. Once you do that, you’ll be free to use the dog park anytime you’d like. Your pup will always have a great time playing in this dog park!

Park Street
Looking for a park where you can take your dog for a leisurely stroll? Head over to Mead Memorial Park, where dogs are welcome on-leash. Here, you and your pup can go for a walk around the park’s beautiful pond. There are also lots of benches where you can sit and enjoy the view with your furry best friend. If you want to grab lunch with your dog after your walk, there are plenty of good options near Mead Park. For hearty sandwiches, check out Tony’s Deli, which welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables. Or, if you’re in the mood for a burger or a hot dog, head to Station Eats and grab one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables.

Rowayton
Rowayton is home to the fun Rowayton Dog Park, which is about seven miles from New Canaan. Here, your dog can play in one spacious, fenced-in field. There are trees that keep the park cool on hot days, and the park also has a water fountain for your pup. Bring some tennis balls or a Frisbee, and enjoy playing with your dog here. After the dog park, treat your dog to lunch at Brendan’s 101. This restaurant welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they’ll bring some treats and a water bowl out for your dog. While your dog enjoys their snack, you can dine on classic New England lobster rolls, customizable sandwiches, freshly baked desserts, and more.

If you’re looking for another great dog park, check out Stamford Dog Park. Located about six miles from New Canaan, this dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas have picnic tables for owners to sit at, and they also have water fountains for your pup. Your dog will love running around this pawsitively amazing dog park! If playing in the dog park makes you and your dog hungry, head over to Brasitas. Grab a seat at one of Brasitas’ dog-friendly outdoor tables and enjoy some of their delicious Latin fusion dishes.

For another fun dog park, head over to Westport and check out Winslow Dog Park. This dog park is about 10 miles from New Canaan, and it has one large, fenced-in area where dogs can play off-leash. The dog park has a field where your pup can run around, and it also has wooded trails where they can walk off-leash. There are also water fountains for both dogs and humans near the entrance of the dog park. Whether you want to go on a walk with your dog or let them run around in an open field, Winslow Dog Park is perfect for you!
